Natalie Bibby

Mastering Engineer, Lathe Cutting Engineer and Executive Director of the Music Producers Guild

Natalie Bibby is a mastering engineer based at the legendary AIR Studios, London, founded by Sir George Martin. Before joining AIR, she spent nearly a decade at Metropolis Studios, where she developed a distinctive mastering style that bridges traditional techniques and knowledge with her own modern perspective.

Natalie is one of the very few engineers worldwide who cuts to lacquer (“cutting vinyl”) on a Neumann VMS-80 lathe, and she is especially passionate about the rare craft of half-speed cutting. Her mastering and cutting credits span a wide range of artists, including Kraftwerk, Bring Me The Horizon, Lola Young, Jimmy Eat World, The Vaccines, Lewis Capaldi, GIRLI, and CATTY. A recent career highlight was running a world-class mastering workshop at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, UK.

She is also trained in Dolby Atmos mixing and mastering, embracing immersive audio technologies alongside her analogue expertise. Beyond the studio, Natalie serves as an Executive Director of the Music Producers Guild, advocating for and amplifying the voices of producers, engineers, mixers and mastering engineers across the industry. She is also passionate about running workshops that create access points for women in audio, with the aim of helping shift the gender imbalance in engineering for future generations.

Alongside her engineering career, Natalie releases music under the artist name Ber Bein. Her debut album Dreaming Bones was self-produced, mixed, and mastered, and released on cassette via WereGnome Records. A follow-up project is forthcoming on Yuggoth Records.
