Marcela Rada

Immersive Audio Specialist

Marcela Rada is an audio engineer, educator, and researcher specializing in immersive audio and music production. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she combines deep technical expertise with a passion for education and innovation in the music industry.

Marcela is currently completing a PhD in Audio Engineering at the University of Surrey, with a focus on immersive music production workflows. Her work bridges the gap between academic research and real-world creative practice, making advanced audio concepts both accessible and relevant.

She has taught and lectured at leading institutions including Berklee College of Music, the University of Toronto, Abbey Road Institute, and University of the Arts London. Her international experience spans North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia, reflecting a global approach to music education and collaboration.

Marcela has been invited to speak at major industry events such as SXSW, Amsterdam Dance Event, the Audio Engineering Society Convention, XP Music Futures, and the International Broadcasting Convention. She is also the Founder and Executive Producer of The Immersive Lounge, a platform dedicated to education, inclusion, and creative exploration in immersive music.
