GRAMMY-nominated Mastering & Restoration Engineer, Audio, Preservationist, and Studio Owner
Jessica Thompson is a GRAMMY-nominated mastering and restoration engineer and studio owner based in the SF Bay Area. She has worked on recordings across formats, eras, and genres, including historic recordings by Woody Guthrie, Erroll Garner, Margo Guryan, and Blondie, every release from cult label Awesome Tapes From Africa, and new records from Kurt Vile, Pachyman, and Meklit. A champion of independent creators, she has helped the Louie and Bebe Barron Archives, the Arhoolie Foundation, and radio producers the Kitchen Sisters kickstart their audio preservation projects. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Recording Academy.
