Chrissy Tignor

Producer, Engineer, Music Educator, & Content Creator

Chrissy Tignor is a music educator, producer, audio engineer, and content creator passionate about making music technology education accessible and inspiring. She is currently a full-time professor at California State Polytechnic University and formerly served as Education Director at Splice, where she led major initiatives including the company’s first student discount program and educational content collaborations with Grammy-winning producers like Sky Rompiendo and Di Genius.

With eight years as a professor at Berklee College of Music and five authored courses with Berklee Online, Chrissy has educated thousands of students worldwide. She also launched Audio Upcycle, a music tech initiative in the Dominican Republic that empowers students through hands-on production and international accreditation.

Chrissy’s work has connected her with artists and brands including Spotify, iZotope, Eventide, TLC, Discovery Channel, Kamille, Sylvia Massy, Bastille, Julien Baker, and more. Online, she shares music production insights and vintage gear finds with a global audience as @datachild.
