“Chance Tonight” is the first collaboration between San Francisco-based musician/producer Iguazúl and Michigan-based singer/songwriter/producer Vicki Maldonado. After over a year of uncertainty, both Iguazúl and Vicki were eager to connect and collaborate. The pair met and collaborated exclusively online after being introduced through Frank Socorro’s monthly mix feedback sessions. This common desire led to the modern synth-pop track that brings dance back into the listener’s soul.

VICKI MALDONADO

Singer, Songwriter, Producer

Vicki Maldonado is a force to be reckoned with. Born and raised in Manhattan, NY, Vicki dealt with homelessness and abuse before the age of 5. Music quickly became the way she expressed herself, writing her first song at 9 years old. Despite the many challenges that presented her way, Vicki continued to write songs. She spent her teenage years making original music and self-recording. She went on to study audio recording technology at Five Towns College. Now, Vicki is more determined than ever, self-releasing singles every month. It’s an exciting time as she pushes her work to the next level and to new audiences. Her story is one of resilience and seeking to find beauty even when it seems impossible. Will you join her journey as she seeks to find healing in a world that so often drags us down?
